A couple of weeks ago, Danyelle and I got a chance to head to San Francisco courtesy of Hampton by Hilton for their Seekender program. San Fran has been on our travel wishlist for quite some time so when the opportunity came to visit we were on the first thing smoking. We stayed at the Hampton by Hilton which was convenient and less than 20 minutes away from most tourist attractions. This was my first time staying at a Hampton Hotel but it definitely won’t be my last. The hotel lobby was decorated so beautifully, it was almost as if I was standing in someone’s living room. The stay was friendly and the hotel was clean: two of my must haves when staying at a hotel. My stay there was quite enjoyable and I loved how they provided breakfast and snacks for hotel guests.
By the time we arrived to our room, San Francisco Travel had a folder full of adventures waiting on us. I couldn’t believe how much there was to do in San Fran, I literally wanted to do it all…
After getting settled in we were starving so you know our first stop was to get something to eat. After a quick bite to eat we came back to the hotel to change clothes and head out for the night. I decided after losing almost 50lbs it was time to wear my crop top outfit that was sent to me from Chic and Curvy. I figured if I was going to step out of my comfort, San Fran was the place to do it. I received so many compliments on my outfit, I probably should’ve worn it a long time ago. Next, we checked out a few local spots and then headed back to the hotel to rest up for the next day.
Our Saturday Adventures started off with a trip to Madame Tussauds Wax Museum; we had an absolute blast. Here are a few pics from that experience, I will be posting more on AroundtheWorldinPink.com. Sidenote: Anyone who knows me knows, I’m obsessed with crime and murder mysteries, so I had to spend a few moments in a cell with Al Capone. I swear, I felt like he was looking right at me, he looked so real.
Love the Rosa Parks wax figures, it was one of the best at the museum.
Oh hey Marilyn…
And who doesn’t want to have Breakfast at Tiffany’s?? I actually did in New York but that’s a different story. On to the next…
After the Was Museum, we headed over to Fishermen’s Wharf for a Bridge to Bridge Cruise Adventure with Red and White. We got a chance to cruise the edge of Pacific Ocean while exploring Alcatraz and getting and up close and personal view of the Golden Gate Bridge.
How beautiful is the Golden Gate Bridge on a cloudy afternoon?
Check out these cool pictures I shot of Alcatraz!!
After the cruise we still wasn’t done, we stopped by Ghiradelli and the San Francisco Dungeon. The San Francisco Dungeon is a show based on real San Francisco history and legends (minus the boring parts!). We got up close and personal with sinister characters that included Miss Piggott, the Wild West saloon owner, and the infamous crimper, Shanghai Kelly. We had a blast and somehow Danyelle and I ended up in trouble…welp!
And if that wasn’t enough, we headed over to Ripley’s Believe It or Not. Ripleys is a museum which deals in bizarre events and items so strange and unusual that readers might question the claims. I have always wanted to go to Ripley’s so I took the opportunity, so glad I did. Here is just a snippet of what I saw.
After a long day we headed back to Hampton by Hilton to prepare for the next days festivities.
We started out with lunch at Hillstone and then we headed to Lombard Street the famous Crooked Road in San Francisco. That was a walk and a journey all in itself…lol
After that the adventure continued… We stopped by the Aquarium of the Bay.
After that our San Francisco Adventure had come to a close! I had an amazing time in San Fran and I can’t wait to go back. There were so many things that we still need to discover so another trip is required. Special thanks to Hampton by Hilton and San Francisco travel for taking care of us!!
