In a previous post, I told you guys about all the fun the boychild and I had at the Family Forward Conference. One of the cool things about the conference was getting to explore Universal’s Islands of Adventure. During the first night, we were granted VIP access to Islands of Adventure. The park closed early to give us a chance to explore, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™. Now, I can’t lie, I’ve never been a huge Harry Potter fan (*insert gasp here*), but after getting a chance to go to Universal Studios, I’m now a believer.
Getting to explore all things Harry Potter was so much fun for the boychild, he’s never saw the movie yet he was so intrigued. We also got a chance to get on on the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride. Hands down, it was the best ride in the entire park, I suggest everyone get on this ride at least once.
Not only did we get a chance to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™, but we also had the opportunity to go to our own private desert social that included Pumpkin Juice, or a refreshing glass of Butterbeer (if you are a fan then you know the importance of this) . I’d never heard of Butterbeer let alone tasted if before (remember, I never saw the movie) but it was delicious and a favorite of the boychild. Ya’ll know, I couldn’t leave without picking up a caramel apple from Honeydukes. I’m a caramel apple fanatic and the ones here were so fresh and delicious.
When we returned to the park this time, we explored Seuss Landing. Here the kids got a chance to explore all things Dr. Seuss from a chance to meet their favorite characters to riding on the Caro-Seuss-el to the kids favorite One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish water ride. The kids loved everything about Seuss Landing!
From there we heading over to Jurassic Park! If you ever watched the movie, then you already know what this section was filled with recreations from the movie. Of course the kids loved this section, it was full of water rides and dinosaur adventures.
After that we continued exploring the park, we had a great time meeting some of our favorite characters and just having fun. I definitely recommend taking the kids, it’s so much to see and do that you might just need 2 or more days but make sure you bring your walking shoes.
Stay tuned, I will be doing another post on how survive a day at Universals Studios.
