When the original Monsters Inc came out, I had no interest in seeing it! I didn’t have a child so the Monsters just wasn’t on my radar. Well, that was in 2001 fast-forward 12 years to 2013, I’m now a mother of a 4 year old boychild and he insists on seeing this movie. This week, I took him to the Chicago screening of Monsters University which is set to hit theaters this Friday. If Monsters Inc is as good as Monsters University then I definitely need to sit down and watch the first one.
In anticipation of Monsters University, Disney has released the new Monsters University Storybook Deluxe app. The animated interactive storybook is now available for $6.99 in the iTunes App Store for the iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad Mini and sheds new light on the story of the friendship of beloved monster pals Mike and Sulley.
I recently downloaded this app for the boychild and he loves it! The interactive app allows your child to create their own Monsters University ID as well as go through obstacle course in order for them to become a scarer. I must confess, after watching the movie I now love the app even more. It gives the child the opportunity to further their Monsters U experience. To get the Monsters University App go here.
