2013 Toy Fair: Hasbro First Look Blogger Party

This year I attended the Toy Fair in New York. It was my first time attending such a huge Toy Fair, I’ve been to a few in Chicago but none this big! Before the actual toy fair kicked off Hasbro hosted a first look blogger party for bloggers to see the latest and greatest from Hasbro!

We got a chance to preview some of Hasbro’s hottest lines and upcoming releases!

2013 will offer several big blockbuster movies and with that comes new figurines! Marvel has the latest figurines for Iron Man, Captain America and more!

Another big trend in the toy industry right now is creating toys that are no longer gender specific. For example, Nerf once considered boys toys has crossed over and created a line for girls called Nerf Rebelle! The same great concept as the original Nerf line but more feminine. Easy Bake Oven was once considered a girls toy, now they have come up with a neutral Easy Bake Oven. Lets face it boys like to cook as well! I love this idea of creating gender neutral toys for both sexes.SONY DSC

Baby Alive is back and better than ever! She now has more accessories and playsets.SONY DSC

I absolutely loved the Playskool Show Cam! It’s a camera and projector all in one! I must get the boychild one of these!SONY DSCWho doesn’t love the Hulk? I mean will he ever go out of style!!!

SONY DSCThis year for whatever reason I was dying to get a Furby! I’m proud to say I’m not a proud owner of a purple and pink Furby! My son just loves how silly she is!

Check out more pictures and new releases from the Hasbro Party below!

I’m so excited for the new toys coming from Hasbro! They have definitely kept up with the times and most importantly the toys reflect the needs of today’s children. I love how so many toys incorporated the use of the iPad to engage our children. After all we are living in a technology area! If you are looking for toys for your kids whether education or just for fun, check out some of the toys above you won’t be disappointed.
