Last week, I was invited by the good people at Hennessy to have dinner with Cyrille Gautier Auriol, the Ambassador for The House Of Hennessy.  Cyrille was in Chicago to host a paired dinner with quality cognacs from Hennessy and yummy food  from Nellcote. Some of Chicago’s top Influencers and Tastemakers came together for what was sure to be a fun-filled night, topped off with a live performance by the band.

When, I arrived at Nellcote, I wasn’t sure what to expect but I knew it included a night of Hennessy Cocktails and good food! I’ve been known to enjoy a cocktail but I’ve often found myself intimidated by Hennessy! I think in my mind, I’ve always felt like it was too rough for my soul! This dinner was the perfect opportunity for me to get up close and personal with the versatility of Hennessy;  to my surprise I discovered several Hennessy Cocktails that I love!

So for all my girl readers who think you can’t drink Hennessy, I discovered several cocktails that includes Hennessy that you will love! Stay tuned!

Everything at the dinner was so classy,  yet fun! The tables were adorn with Hennessy cards and bracelets. Each place setting gave guests details about the cognac we were drinking from the age to the aroma! It was truly an educational experience for me.

The first cocktail, I was handed was Nellcote’s Punch featuring Hennessy VS! Guests sipped on this cocktail while mingling and networking; basically doing what we do best, run our mouth!

Then it was time to take our seat and prepare for dinner.

The next cocktail on the list was the Hennessy Black Amuse Bouche! This drink was absolutely yummy! It had the right amount of sweetness and bitterness.

Perhaps my favorite drink of the night was the Privilege Martini! OMG, it was hands down the best cocktail of the night for me.

Then it was time to sample Hennessy XO and Hennessy Paradis, the aromas were so rich! A true cognac lover would’ve been in heaven!

The Hennessy was paired with this sweet chocolate dessert, seriously, the night couldn’t get any better!All in all this dinner made for a great night!
