I must admit, I never understood how important attending conferences would be not only for me but for my brand! It wasn’t until I had a conversation with my mentor Danyelle over at The Cubicle Chick, that I really begin to understand. A few weeks ago, I attended my very first BlogHer and had a great time! I got a chance to meet new blogger peeps, see some of my old blogger peeps and most importantly a chance to meet and party with some of the companies I had been working with for a long time.

One of the many events, I attended during BlogHer was the Blogalicious Brunch that Sunday with Stacey Ferguson and A Belle in Brooklyn‘s author Demetria Lucas. Demetria was awesome and hilarious to meet in person, I will definitely be buying her book now! This brunch was so important to me for various reasons but the most important reason was it inspired me to do even more. During the brunch, woman after woman got up to speak about how the conference had not only helped them but inspired them.  Even though I’m going through some financial constraints right now(attending these conferences can get expensive), I decided I need to be at this conference. I’ve learned so much, yet I still have so much to learn!
