So, the boychild just finished his first year of summer school and I thought it would be fun to celebrate by giving him a little end of the year party! I decided for our little family party we would get some of his favorite things! Pizza and Ice Cream to celebrate his entry into manhood!
Ok, ok… big boyhood! You get my point.
When I asked the boychild what he wanted at his party he said pizza and ice cream! Go figure!
To prepare for the celebration, I made a list of things, I needed to make the boychild’s special day just right! Since my list always changes, I take notes on my iPad and take it with me to the store. Before heading on any shopping trip, I always check to see what coupons I could use to save me even more $$$.
Once my list and coupons were in place, it was time to pack up the family and head to our local Walmart. They had an in-store demo but we missed it ;(
For this party we decided to pick up a few Tombstone Pizzas and some Nestle Drumstick… his 2 favorite things in the whole wide world. Mostly, because Drumsticks come in a blue box, which is his favorite color! I love to get my Tombstones and Nestle Drumsticks from Walmart because they always have the best price!
After we found what we needed we headed home to get the party started! Since it was extremely humid in Chicago this weekend we kept our party indoors under the AC!
Plus we didn’t want the ice cream to melt!
All in all we had a good time and that was mostly due in part to my son getting to enjoy all of his favorite things for his special party! Thank God for Nestle and Tombstone! It was a quick easy meal for a mother that’s on the go and the boychild was happy!
What more can I ask for!
If you are looking to create some easy and affordable family fun, I suggest you grab a couple of Tombstone Pizzas and Nestle Drumsticks and have a little family time like we did! #grabsummerfun
