While a lot of us love expensive designer things there is a thin line between common sense and stupidity. What I mean is simple, I like nice things who doesn’t, but will I not pay my rent or car note in an effort to have the next “it” bag…absolutely not! It’s just not that serious for me. There are plenty of ways to be fashionable and not break the bank! Hell, even the richest people believe in dressing hi-lo. Don’t understand what that means??

It’s simply pairing your expensive items with lower price items for a rich look!

Case in point….

I have on Christian Louboutin Heels with a dress from ASOS and coat from Old Navy...

My shoes and bag (not pictured) cost more than my entire outfit!

To save money on your everyday basics, I have a few suggestions:

• To buy quality designer shoes at a fraction of the cost shop at shoe warehouses, this is a great place to get major brands for 1/3rd of the retail price.
• For everyday basics like tanks tops, jeans, etc. in a variety of colors, I suggest you shop at budget friendly stores like Forever 21, Nordstrom Rack or Old Navy.
• For beauty basics, I suggest you shop at your local superstores, drugstore and/or pharmacy. These stores often accept coupons and run weekly sales.
• And how can I forget about your local consignment/thrift stores the perfect place to find budget friendly pieces.

Now if you are like me and love a good shoe or bag and must spend the big bucks, if you cut corners everywhere else you will have enough for that big purchase and still not break your bank!
