What can I say, this week started off with a bang! I attended Charles Tillman’s Celebrity Server Night at Morton’s in North Brook. The charity event was held to benefit the Charles Tillman Cornerstone 33 Foundation, a foundation that provide opportunities and resources to children or their families who are in need. The event was well attended as players from the Chicago Bears took off their cleats and strapped on aprons to serve guests!
Before the event, I got a chance to interview Charles and some of the other players to learn more about the Charles Tillman foundation and why they wanted to support their teammates efforts. Speaking with Charles you could see the passion in his eyes for helping families in need. After Charles’ three-month-old daughter, Tiana, was diagnosed with Dilated Cardiomyopathy (I too have cardiomyopathy), he changed the focus of the foundation to help families in need deal with the hardships that come with having a sick child. As a person who has had to deal with excessive medical bills, it makes me so happy to see someone trying to help these struggling famlies and further encouraged me to get back to work on my own charity the Bleeding Heart Project! Make sure you support Charles Tillman’s Cornerstone 33 Foundation by making a donation today, every little bit helps.
