As we all know Essence has undergone a lot of changes since being purchased by Time Inc. last year, some of those changes have been great while others have been so-so. In an effort to improve the magazine, Essence has been doing small focus groups in various states to see just what it is their readers like and don’t like about the magazine as it is today.
Upon arrival we were greeted by Chloe, who does PR for the magazine.
For lunch we were served mint infused fruit, tossed summer salad and turkey wraps from Jessica Ashley, the food was absolutely delicious!
During lunch we were asked various open-ended questions regarding Essence magazine and what we thought they were doing right and what they could improve on.
