Hmm, if you ask me what’s the best gift I ever gave I would have to say it was feeding the homeless during the holiday season. I’ve given a ton of gifts in my life but none of my gifts every amounted to the joy I got from helping people that were less fortunate. Often times when it comes to holidays we forget the real reason for the season, we often get wrapped up in our own lives and forget about what’s important.
Feeding the homeless gave me a greater appreciation for what I’ve been blessed with! It also got me to thinking, what if I had no where to lay my head at night or what if I didn’t know where my next meal was going to come from…Devastating right? Don’t get me wrong everyone loves gifts but it’s nothing wrong with taking time out to give to someone else. So this holiday season while you put gifts under the tree take a few hours of you time to help those in need whether it’s through feeding the homeless or volunteering your time help someone in need it’s a gift that keeps on giving!!
